WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic is an evidence-based healthcare profession focused on the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal problems, particularly those affecting the spine, joints and nervous system.

Chiropractors complete extensive university training and must hold a recognised qualification such as an MChiro, MSc or Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). In the UK the profession is regulated by the General Chiropractic Council, which sets standards of practice and professional conduct.

The word chiropractic comes from the Greek words cheir (hand) and praxis (action), meaning “done by hand.”Chiropractic care focuses on gentle, hands-on techniques designed to support healthy movement and function without the use of drugs or surgery.

People often visit a chiropractor with musculoskeletal symptoms such as back pain, neck pain, joint stiffness or postural strain.

Treatment may include hands-on chiropractic techniques along with advice on posture, movement and exercises to support long-term wellbeing.

Chiropractic care can be suitable for people of many ages, and treatment is always tailored to the individual.
Alternatively, you can find further information by visiting the websites of the General Chiropractic Council or the British Chiropractic Association
